That personally very sad, but interesting reading. My wife had a lumpectomy. She was always prone to infections, from way before we met. She had an infection from the lumpectomy, which our GP didn’t treat properly. District nurses had to come in and deal with the infection. She had always been a very active person, but became listless and fatigued. The signs of dementia became very clear less than a year later.
I also hear that tooth problems gum problems are associated with cardiovascular problems I don’t thinks it’s just causality.
Cos like ppl with heart prblms may have metabolic disease ie perhaps eat tonnes of sugar thus y the teeth problems.
Likewise for ppl with serious infections… These dementia risks may be due to metabolic disease as diabetes reduces fighting off infections,
