In 1978 before I got really sick, me and a friend went to a concert. We were both 17. I drove us up to Oakland, Ca. to see the Rolling Stones perform in Oakland Coliseum. Oakland is famous for the Oakland A’s, the Oakland Raiders and it’s high crime rate. Anyway,it was an outdoor concert with 60,000 people.
Me and this friend used to buy pot from this young couple who lived in my apartment complex. The guy was a little reserved but the women was really nice and they used to give us the best deals around. The girls name was Cathy.
Anyway, so we’re at this concert and we had both taken some LSD we had bought in the line waiting to get in. About three hours into the show we were just wandering around the halls tripping on the people and everything around us. All of a sudden, Cathy appears! We called out to her but she didn’t see us and she disappeared back into the crowd. We were amazed that in a concert 70 miles away with 60,000 people that we had seen someone who lived 5 minutes from us.'But we kept walking. Then about an hour later we were wandering again and we see her again!! This time she saw us and stopped to talk. All three of us were a little embarrassed because she was obviously high on acid too and none of us had seen each other high before… But what were the chances of seeing someone you know in the middle of 60.000 people?

It happens. I saw a girl I had gone to Junior High Prom with in Oklahoma and about 3 years later I saw her and talked at Disneyland. we were blown away.
A little nostalgia for a time + ‘scene’ I never knew…I did know the time.

Nick, you have a good memory about things happened in the past. You recalled these things with vivid details. It’s amazing! I can’t do that. Since I was put on anti-psychotics, my brain seemed numb and lost lots of memories.
