Sent a semi-nasty note to my doctor's nurse

My clinic has an online portal and one of the functions is I can book appointments online. I sent a PM to my doctor today in which I explained I have had back pain since 2014 but I don’t know my diagnosis for it. I had tests done years ago and arthritis in my lower back was mentioned but I’m not sure so I asked my PCP if she can either look at my back herself or refer me to a specialist. The nurse wrote back for me to book an appointment online. I spent 5 minutes trying to do that but there’s no openings before April 24th and their system won’t book an appointment past April 24th.

So this is what I wrote back to the nurse, “How do I book an appointment, there’s no appointments before April 24th and your system won’t let me book an appointment past April 24th? I don’t understand because every time I go in for an appointment they’re usually literally only 0-2 people in the waiting room. You guys don’t seem that busy. What am I supposed to do?”

It’s not really that rude or nasty but I was frustrated and I wanted them to get that. Hopefully, they don’t get mad or something. It wasn’t that bad or a rude PM was it?

That notes sounds fine to me.

Pays to be your own advocate in these times. No it’s not unreasonable but you have to ask. Most people don’t and they rely on that I think. See what they come back with but quite sensible.
