Seeing pdoc today and I'm curious what your opinions are

I’ve been having mild auditory hallucinations for a little bit and seeing some things that are just not quite right making me think maybe hallucinations. Also, a little suspiciousness bordering possibly paranoia. Basically I’m not feeling super confident in my mind right now and with all the styress I’m under I’m not surprised.

My question is, since I’m only getting a few hours of sleep each day and surely am sleep deprived, do you think my symptoms are from sleep deprivation or breakthrough symptoms that could be bettered by a meds increase?

  • breakthrough symptoms, increase meds
  • sleep deprivation, keep meds the same

Im totally just playing on the safe side here because sleep would be the easiest thing to test, before going through any med change beyond a prn.

Definitely target sleep first. Sleep plays a huge role in symptom severity. I know if I’m not getting proper sleep I get highly psychotic.

do you have a sleep aid you can take

I can’t use a sleep aid right now.

My pdoc believes it to be sleep deprivation. She also thinks that adding a little risperidone in the morning temporarily until I can get the sleep problem addressed may help. So, we’re doing that.
