For months now, there’s been speculation that researchers might have finally created time crystals - strange crystals that have an atomic structure that repeats not just in space, but in time, putting them in perpetual motion without energy.
Now it’s official - researchers have just reported in detail how to make and measure these bizarre crystals. And two independent teams of scientists claim they’ve actually created time crystals in the lab based off this blueprint, confirming the existence of an entirely new form of matter.
Well that was interesting. I wonder if they will find other forms of matter. I wonder if they can create time crystals with other elements than the ones they used. Did problems with symmetry breaking but I don’t remember doing things with electron entanglement. Of course I may have and don’t remember. I took a lot of math and physics courses.
I have a feeling our understanding of the universe will be rapidly enhanced after this at an epic pace…I hope we can keep up… This is a ridiculous find right? If you could harness this properly you could send a long term deep space quantum explorer…who transmits its findings back to earth…but from the future… Lol my brain hurts…
I don’t know physics has a lot of mind bending type of stuff. Like an electron gaining mass due to interaction with a strong magnetic field and becoming massive. Thus exhibiting super conductivity. Could be a little off on that it has been a while since I learnt that stuff in physics.
Its requires no energy but is just existing in a natural state of perpetual motion… It allows communication across time… The second we harness it to pass decodable info…we should receive a barrage of info from the device in the future… I won’t think past this point… Because technically learning useable vital info about a subject from future us would lead to greater advancements in said subject in our lifetime there by changing what the futures has in store…
I just remember, one or two years ago in news, Scientists were researching for God particles, some where in Europe. Is this changeed to so called Time crystal.

Higgs bosons, also called “God’s particles”, were indeed found at the CERN laboratory in 2014 or 2015. I don’t think they are connected to these time crystals. This is atomic physics, and bosons belong in the nuclear physics realm. Maybe someone else can provide a better explanation
