So I signed up for peer support school but could not get it financed. I volunteer in coaching and stuff but I noticed I freak out after I am done it’s like not good for my mind and because of the stress I over eat. So I came to the conclusion I can only do manual labor because that just seems to really click in my mind and my body, I just feel so relaxed. Does anyone experience the same?

I work in IT and it can indeed get stressful.
The issue with manual labor is I’ve got poor eye hand coordination (except for typing on a keyboard) and also weak stamina. Otherwise, I agree it can be a good option for people with mental illness.

I also find things that involve socialising make me freak out afterwards if it’s too much.

I do NAMI Connections group facilitating for people with mental illness and every time i do a group i feel stressed out before the group and SO relieved when it’s over with. I’m thinking about stepping back from it for my stess levels. We usually only get one or two people at the groups anyways…

I understand I get overwhelmed by people sometimes, maybe I just get scared to commit.
