my thoughts are that everyone has schizophrenia and actual diagnosed schizophrenics have just heightened awareness to what is goin on around themselves in a plane that we cannot see or understand yet. my thoughts are that schizophrenics have unlimited access to the “collective unconciousness” and to beings that have longs since passed away, or are awaiting re-entry if you believe in reincarnation. but more to the point is that everyone has it they just believe that the thoughts they have are their own, such as songs being stuck in there head, etc. but we are more aware that its is something other than ourselves. perhaps the increase in the rivers in the brain is due to the fact that our conciousness being what we are as part of our bodies is trying to separate itself more from what the body is trying to force upon the conciousness. just a fun thought.
Bull Hockey, schizophrenia is an illness. One that can be treated.
Yeah I ran into a lot of thoughts about the collective unconscious. What disproves it though is that we have to learn things before we think about them. There is no evidence of telepathic learning that I have come accross. There sure are a lot of coincidences though. My brain used to be crazy as hell but this all stemmed from the delusion that there is telepathy. I’m doing a lot better now that I am forcing myself to believe the truth that it isnt real all we are is just machines of proton neutrons and electrons.
but how can you be so sure of yourself? i believe it is better to be open to an idea than closed off, ive figured things out that have later become proven by a scientist here or there. and have rediscovered ideas of others without the knowledge of them or there work.
it is quite possible we are sometimes just scared to find out what it could be or believe we already know what it is without full evidence.
Or maybe we have a disease that makes our brains fool us with delusions, hallucinations, and weird perceptions.
yet our ideas of reality is constantly changing. ill or not. just because you feel normal doesnt mean that you are, nor that everything around you has been the same as it was not long ago or will be soon to your perception of it. yet you still think it was the same as it was when you first saw it, yet its different but the same. then you and it become “normal” again.
You are right about one thing. When I was at my sickest I felt “normal”. When I was in the hospital, I wondered why they had me in there with all those “crazy” people, as I used to call them. That is the very definition of psychosis, you do not recognize it in yourself. Do yourself a favor and get some help.
I tried expanding my consciousness and it ended in psychotic collapse. Reality is boring I used to be just like you trying to make things more interesting but the truth is it’s not. Reality is pretty amazing still though. If you want to tickle that sense of getting to know reality study physics don’t just sit there and fantasize about your delusions. The human experience might be a bit trite but it’s all we got. Your just clouding up the experience with this bs.
Everyone experiences reality differently. Sane or not. There is nothing to suggest schizophrenia (a brain chemical imbalance) spectrum disorders cause their sufferers to experience heightened reality.
yet when i was my sickest i knew what was goin on what the people around me we doing and why.
lets just put it this way if everyone had schizophrenia would we consider it a disease or chemical imbalance?
As lovely as that all sounds, it’s hardly a practical view of reality. You will have drifted off to the sea of your mind before you truly made sense of it all.
to you now at this point in time, but in the future you could say this is very true. depending on the cicumstances, and situations youve been in and how youve grown from them and what you have collected from them. rationality is up in the air really.
true and false. there are ways around what we know to figure out how these things work. if they all work the same way that is, which is good and bad because theres such a wide spectrum of things to figure out its hard to notice somethings or they are hidden from you; yet very crucial to your overall outcome of your reaction to it. but somehow you truly know whats goin on so its hard to trust yourself to know what to do as a conciousness perspecitive if you have trust issues lol. which is why it all changes depending on what youve been through and what youve experienced in your life.
I think we are actually wizards
lol i find this funny and not funny for the same reasons. but ill still laugh at myself .
if you actually believe that good for you i hope your proof stays with you.
If schizophrenia was heightened awareness then the thoughts it brings forth wouldn’t be wrong.
true but maybe were taking them the wrong way to begin with, people get so dead set on one direction that they forget to think of other possibilities that it might be.
These discussions make me so uncomfortable. I highly disagree that it is hightened awareness. That would be the scariest thing in the world. If what I saw and heard was real, then we’re all screwed.
I spent many a year thinking about possibilities. It got me nowhere. I have a better life now treating my illness.
could be a possibilities that im just experiencing a different thing than you are. maybe i dont have schizophrenia even though ive been diagnosed with it…
Hello John
I agree with you 100%. I believe there are many different groups of people here having many different levels of SZ.
The problem is the line that we draw on this topic regarding voices and the ability of the person to juggle this life and them. I speak to them all day long they are just here but they are not all these things many here keep making them out to be. I have found that they become all the things you think they are in your mind but this is not the truth they are many more things going on inside them then you could imagine.
