I was wondering if anyone has been scammed through skyped before? Some random person I’ve never met before contacted me and wanted to strip for me on cam so i blocked them since I assumed they were going to try to scam me somehow. After doing some research, I found that sometimes people record peoples videos on skype and blackmail them. They get them to make a compromising video and then contact all their friends and family if the person doesn’t pay.
Have any of you had something like this happen before?

Not personally, but sex scammers are known to target the mentally ill because they are statistically more likely to be lonely and to go for the scams. I know one person who paid $600 a month for well over a year to a scammer “collecting taxes” on a supposed winning lottery ticket.
The true sociopath has no feeling of empathy or identification with the plight of others. He (or she) is just a predator.

I f****en hate social media…except for this place and a couple others.
I always get viruses. …I don’t like viruses.
The person I mentioned is dx’ed szoaffective, btw.
