Saw pdoc today

So I met with my pdoc today and we decided to start me on sertraline. Apparently he didn’t know it interacts with clozapine negatively. My pharmacist refused to fill the prescription until they speak to him. Hopefully they get in touch tomorrow so we can get this sorted out

Gotta love it when your pharmacist seems more informed than your pdoc. :scream:

Yeah. Honestly makes me wonder if I can even trust his judgment now

I’ve had a pharmacist question a doctors prescription before. The pharmacist told me she decided to fill the prescription but warned me it could have serious side effects related to my heart because of the other drugs I was on.

That’s fair. I suppose that’s why they’re there right?

Yeah, that’s the way I look at it. Having a backup isn’t such a bad thing. Better safe than sorry.

Nobody is perfect, and doctors can make mistakes just like anyone else, but if my doctor made mistakes a lot I would get a new one.
