Ashes to Ashes isn’t about Bowles schizophrenic brother. It’s about David Bowie’s own drug addiction.

This song was inspired by David Bowies half-brother who had schizophrenia. It’s about how mental illness was viewed and treated in society when it was written in 1971.

Hi @san_pedro, I apologize for not responding earlier, but it has been a busy day for us. I have only removed one post of yours today, and it was the one where you took a sideways shot at the moderator who was merging topics on you (that was me). You’ll notice I didn’t give you a hard time over it or suspend you because today has been negative enough for everyone already.
You have posted some good topics and they are all still standalone threads that I hope other members will participate in. You had a few posts that seemed more like comments than full threads, so I merged those with your “super thread”. I apologize if you felt like you were being slighted or punished because that is not our intention. We’re just trying to make sure that the new posts feed is as tidy and easy to find things on as possible for everyone. That’s why there is some housekeeping going on. Please don’t take it personally.
