My brain operates in both Finnish and English. I have often going on this sarcasm when I think how much ‘ruhtinaalliset ateriat’ such as liver casserole prices have gone up since the early 1990s. Today, I got again this ‘ruhtinaalinen’ meal and now it was 1.8 euros, 10.4 old Finnish marks which is over five times higher than it was 24 years ago, nearly 9 % annual inflation.
What is this?..
ruhtinaalliset ateriat = royal meals, it is my joke, because I am amused how much prices have risen, a part of my craziness
That makes sense…
