Rugby is on

SAR vs HAR. I really don’t know who the two teams are. It’s confusing when they kick the ball to the other team to play field position. They have the ball and figure they can’t go any further so they kick it away. It’s kind of confusing.

Oh my beloved rugby! Yeah they kick for field position. Possession isn’t everything. Rugby is like American football in that it has a lot of rules.

I think cricket probably has the most rules of all though.

I can’t even twist the ball while lateraling it. It’s a pretty tough sport.

There are a lot of snobs over here who think it is much tougher than American football as there are no pads. They are wrong though I reckon - both are tough.

Take shoulder barging. Is totally illegal in rugby but fine in football. In rugby you have to wrap your arms around the ball carrier not so in football.

In rugby you can’t tackle the player in the air and contact with the head is a no no.

American football is brutal and rugby snobs should appreciate that.imo both are great sports

Yeah ignorance is everywhere. Both are great.

It’s weird how they squirm around on the ground after being tackled because the opposing team is trying to gain possession. A lot different from the NFL.

Yeah a lot of matches are decided on the ground.

What’s the biggest rugby city in Great Britain?

Well there are two codes of rugby. Rugby league and rugby union. Rugby league is closer to American football.

Rugby league is played mostly in north England, not much in Scotland or Ireland or France (although there are some French teams). Rugby union (which you are watching now) is played across Britain, Ireland and France.

Did you ever see the American football play where they passed the ball like a rugby ball between loads of players before the touchdown!
