Rosacea and Schizophrenia

Hi everyone,

Does anyone here have rosacea? I’m just wondering because it’s been established that people with schizophrenia are less at risk of having rosacea:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/24236423/

I’m just wondering: if anyone here has rosacea, what are your schizophrenia symptoms like? I’m interested to find out if there’s a link between rosacea and schizophrenia severity.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Raffa

I have rosacea.

Sz is a disease that starts typically in your 20s and has both positive and negative symptoms.

I have suffered psychosis, the positive, but the NIH said its not Sz. Community Doctor locally will call my condition Sz in the hospital.

I don’t see much difference between psychosis nos or schizophrenia. Is it just the negative symptoms? What about cognitive?

(sorry for derailing your thread, Raffa)

I don’t have any cognitive and my first psychosis didn’t happen until I was in my 40s.

In DSM 5 psychosis NOS has been replaced by http://psychcentral.com/disorders/other-specified-schizophrenia-spectrum-and-other-psychotic-disorder/
