Rethink supported housing campaign (UK)

Everyone should be able to live in a safe and secure home.

But the Government’s proposal to cap Housing Benefit for people in supported housing could risk the health and recovery of many people with a severe mental illness. This would restrict people’s access to vital support when they need it most.

Rethink Mental Illness is calling on the Government to recognise that supported housing is essential to mental health recovery.

Will you write to your MP asking them to contact the Minister for Welfare Reform, Lord Freud, to remove the threat of a ‘one-size-fits-all’ cap to Housing Benefit for those living in supported housing? Fill out the form below to write to your MP.
