When you reply to a post why does it sometimes show the icon of the person you’ve replied to and other times nothing? I get so confused on whether my post is going to show up as an alert for that person or not.
The icon doesn’t show up if you reply directly to someone’s post, and no one else has replied to it before you, if that makes sense. They get a notification regardless.

I don’t get that logic but oh well…
Another question: is it better practice to use @someone in posts to make it more clear?
They get notified either way, but I’d use the @ if it’s unclear who your reply would be to without it.

That’s because it doesn’t show the icon if you replied to the most previous poster
