Reduced my olanzapine from 10mg to 5mg on my own

I reduce the medication on my own there is no different except that I am using porn more and also masturbating…should I go back to 10mg so I stopped doing these?I don’t face any psychotic symptom yet

if my PMO habit is all and well,i will stick to 5mg but if the next few days I still PMO I will continue with 10mg Olanzapine

You probably won’t see any difference in the short term. Long term it could be a problem.

Important to talk to your psydoc. 7.5 mgs of zyprexa isn’t a bad effective dose so getting your shrink onboard isn’t a bad thing!

Not the smartest of moves. Get with your shrink and try the median!

Yeah it’s most antipsychotics. Hit up your psydoc! As I say moving down isn’t bad…you get positives you go back up. You win cause you try it at least!

Dont’ just stop them. That isn’t a smart move. If you have to then cut the tabs in half if it’s oral. You can buy pill splitters. I wouldn’t recommend that though!

HAHAHAHAH! i remember those days… doc put me on abilify, and had a boner for hours while playing games, Im pre sure i wasnt aroused. but me u know just kept coming up haha and it would stay like that for a whole game or two xD

5mg is not a therapeutic dosage of Olanzapine! 10mg is however.

I’m on 15mg and despite not becoming erect as easily I still manage to enjoy some “self love”…

@JH85 is right. You’ve basically come off meds if you’re only on 5mg.

I reduced my aripiprazole from 15mg to 10mg just for two days. Who knows maybe ill have more interest and pleasure this weekend.

7.5mg works good for me, been on it a few years now.

I was once told by a doctor in the hospital that 5 mgs doesn’t do much other than give side effects

I’m on 5mg olanzapine (along with 200mg amisulpride) Want to decrease my olanzapine to 2,5mg as I did ok on it, and my pdoc said once i’m stable (which I am) I can come down to 2,5mg. But I tried coming from 2,5mg off totally which didn’t work. Strange how only 2,5mg made such a difference!

I take 5 mg of olanzapune. But if i feel “too happy” i take 10 mg for few days till i feel normal. And then i take 5 mgs again.
