Recovery and changes

Hi all!
I was here a long time ago, and I was a moderator and all, and sometimes I miss people I’ve met here…

I was dx’d at the time with schizophrenia than later with schizoaffective.
Time went by, I kept doing therapy, and later I was without any diagnosis.

I had a relapse, ended up in the hospital with acute anxiety. Now I have a bipolar diagnosis just to say that in a way I had some because my issue was and is trauma healing.

I have a new pdoc that explained anxiety has 2 ends - good anxiety and really bad-quasi psychotic anxiety.

He explained I probably never did even have psychosis.
He also said things changed a lot since (it’s been 8 years) and that I will for sure be rid of medication eventually (I’m taking low dose Abilify and high dose Clonazepam)

I was in the hospital for a few days and they completely dismissed schizophrenia. It says: possible mania.

Anyway,
this to say after almost 10 years. Dxs change, things change and I didn’t meet one single person who had the sz dx forever nowadays.

So, stay hopeful. Things get better.

Blessings.

Welcome back @Minnii!I remember you used to be a regular but you’ve been gone so long I don’t remember much about you. Except you were real nice.
Thanks for filling us in. Looks like you escaped the clutches of schizophrenia, lol.
