I’ve never been categorized as having schizoaffective. But apparently under the new DSM there is a mixed type, having both mania and depression. My doctor saw my mania in action so under careful observation she diagnosed me with mixed type. I’ve been out of the hospital since August and I feel ok so far with everything.
I’m also coping well with some new hobbies that I started. I still draw

The mixed type SZA was my last diagnosis with my previous pdoc
Today with this new psychiatrist it’s SZA bipolar type

I have a question about “mixed type” sza does it mean you ONLY get mixed episodes or do you get regular mania and depression episodes
