Really curcumin helps negative symptoms of schizophrenia..?

Curcumin c3 complex protects dopaminergic neurons. May be this is the reason for its cognitive and mood benefits.

Anyone using curcumin? If yes what mental changes you noticed when taking it.

i will oder it tommrrow… they are selling two brand to me …i am confused which one to choose … what is c3 wriiten in its bottle @pr21 @everhopeful have u tried it …but it comes with side effect…

6-OHDA induces Parkinson’s-like symptoms confirmed by behavioral, histopathological, and D2 receptor binding studies. Curcuminoids, that is, curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin were found to shield the neurodegeneration caused by 6-OHDA. All these curcuminoids are known to elicit the protective effect due to their antioxidant properties, and CUR is found to be significantly more potent than DMC and BDMC. Investigation of other possible mechanisms of curcuminoids apart from their antioxidant potential is solicited.

curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin. these three will be mentioned in ingredients if its of c3 form.

anyway i think all curcumin bring some effect. it have many uses. it have antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. very useful for inflammation.

the one i took have just 200 mg so i not experienced any side effect including insomnia. may be side effects when dosage is more. curcumin is used in most food items so a natural thing. but make sure not exceed dose.

It works for me at small doses(recommended dose), but taking higher doses could induce psychosis or relpase. I had a bad experience. Most AP’s block serotonin production, while turmeric raises it. I’m not sure if it’s full spectrum turmeric that raises it, or if curcumin can raise it on its own though.

Don’t know, but a safe dose would be to follow the recommended dose on the label.

Be very careful with curcumin supplements, they can kill you. Your better off with natural turmeric powder. Adding black pepper to turmeric increases the bioavailability by over 100%.

Just take turmeric with black pepper and get rid of the supplements.
