I hate the term schizophrenia. how about referring to us as reality challenged persons? Comments ?

Whatever name it gets changed to will just get the stigma attached to it IMO. They changed manic-depressive to bipolar and what good did that do?

I like the psychotic spectrum.
The label schizophrenia has been around since the 1900s. The DSM-V and previous editions all have schizophrenia in it. Not sure if you can change that.
Bipolar and depressed people can be referred to as mood challenged persons.
A rose by any other name is still a rose. No matter what you call it, it will still have stigma attached to it. Sorry.
