Hey guys, I’ve volunteered to talk about my mental health charity at a local secondary school (high school) i am a bit apprehensive but i think it’ll be ok, hopefully i dont get nervous or anything
Very good … I didn’t know you were in the UK ,!
Yeah, i am, I’m on the train going to the school rn, I’m going to meet with a staff and chat to the 3rd years (15yr olds) they could potentially donate some money to our charity.
Im hoping to tell the kids if the need help not to keep it inside abd to talk about it with someone, dont suffer in silence, thst was me and it was horrible & led to worse things happening to my mental health.
I had a good time, it was like being back at school. I was chatting to lots of kids & charities, one of the charities was one that i had got music lessons from in the past.
I had to take breaks here & there but it was cool, i scheduled a social media post later.
Level up xxx
Great job @Resilient1 ! I’m so impressed!
The kids were to pick 5 favourite charities, asking a list of 10 questions, there must have been about 20 charities around. we gave out all of our booklets (about 20)
The purpose of it was for the kids to help pick which charity tey thought was most deserving for a donation. (we are hoping to get funding for 8 laptops).
Best of luck to you!
