Random- driving question

Is it okay to drive during a thunder/lightening storm?

It’s not supposed to be raining and it isn’t supposed to be windy.

Of coarse my mom is flying in when it’s supposed to be a lightening thunderstorm. I have to drive an hour to pick her up…

I mean they might end up delaying her flight anyways… we will see.

I’m just kind of hesitant/scared to drive during lightening and thunder.

Have any of you drove during a lightening/thunderstorm?

I’ve driven through many a storm. It’s ok just take it slowly, be careful, maybe turn your lights on and test your brakes using the pedal after driving through water.

yes, I have driven through many storms as well. Including some where I was forced to drive in rain so heavy that the windshield wipers could not keep up because I was on the road out of town.

If it’s not raining, I dont think it should be too much of a biggie. I think you will find it to be fine.

Oh yeah, lots of times. Just drive at the right speed for the road conditions and you should be fine. Pull over if the wind or visibility gets too bad and wait it out.

Plenty of times.

Snow storms are much worse; you’re good.

Just make sure to obey the speed limits and be aware of your surroundings.

I’ve been in my car during one, not necessarily driving. I wasn’t harmed.
