Women have used the excuse that they have a son as a reason why they couldn’t date me or have sex with me. I’m not sure I get it. I understand that having a kid or kids could be a turn off for people so they wouldn’t want to date anymore but why wouldn’t the women just say they don’t like me like that? Does anyone know any other reasons why women would use kids as an excuse and reason not to date someone?
That’s odd, because I would tell a women I couldn’t date her because they have a son. Don’t trust myself around kids. So it’s the opposite.

Well, if she’s a single mom, she could be too busy to date. It could also be the case that dating would be emotionally challenging for the child as he would resent a new male starting a relationship with his mom. Must be horrible to lose your dad when a relationship breaks up and then have some usurper appear in his place.

Maybe she’s trying to let you down easy with an excuse because, generally, when women tell men no they (general they, obviously not ALWAYS the case) get violent and/or aggressive. Women do things to avoid this reaction, like saying they can’t date because they have a kid.

Because they probably are just trying to be nice and the kid is a convenient excuse.

I once informed the friend of a man who was interested in me that I was a lesbian. This friend told me, “Don’t tell him that!” Well, why not tell him that? It was a half truth. And I wasn’t interested in the guy. I was actually more interested in the friend. But, alas, the friend apparently wasn’t interested in me.
When my kids were little I wouldn’t date. I didn’t want a bunch of men in and out of their lives and I had big time trust issues. I didn’t date for 6 years.

Yep, I’ve dealt with this many times. I’m a bad person because I’m not sexually available to every man who wants me. It gets really old. I won’t even make eye contact with men in public because of it. If I dare to be polite to a man it means I want his dick and then I’m a horrible bitch for not actually wanting his dick. It gets really, really old.
