Question about therapist’s charges

Before I hired my current therapist the head of the group literally advertised that a 60 minute consultation would be for $70 and a 45 minute consultation would cost $60. I just had an appointment that lasted 50 minutes and was charged $70. I argued that since the appointment was less than 60 minutes I should be charged the lower price. The group head said that the time includes outside work done by the therapist like research, making notes, etc. and therefore the price should be $70. Is this consistent with industry practice?

I wouldnt pay that
