I have never taken illicit drugs in my life. This treatment would be rejected by me if offered.

MDMA seriously? That crap is so bad for your brain

From what limited (and probably biased) info I have heard it might be useful. But the rule is no psychaedelics for psychotic people

How is ketamine not a psychedelic. But mdma is?? Ketamine is way more psychedelic than mdma. Mdma is similar to amphetamine more than anything in chemical structure (at least). While ketamine is a dissociative, maybe not a psychedelic either , but I don’t see how you can say mdma is a psychedelic but ketamine is not.

Hm. I don’t know myself…

I personally would definitely not use it as I’m scared of things very easily.

But since it’s pure and controlled, I do wonder what difference that makes.

Me no know…

I personally hate mdma. Done it several times, and the only thing I ever got out of it was nausea.

Ketamine tho. :alien::robot::eye:

Sounds good to me. I looked briefly at the ketamine assisted therapies. I think they are onto something there.

I don’t know…when they gave me ketamine in the emergency room I tripped pretty hard. I saw the ceiling rip open and the sky was blue and the sun was shining through and the doctor’s face melted off. That’s pretty psychedelic if you ask me.

Everyone’s mind is different. These type of psychedelic therapies could really be beneficial to some people.

Interesting times we’re living in.

I guess for most people with SZ you wouldn’t be allowed to such kind of therapy.

My Pdoc couldn’t put me in ketamine treatment for depression because of my diagnosis. She was worried that I would have a psychosis.

Maybe in the future.

This seems on par with lobotomy practices a half century plus ago.

Imho.

Ketamine has been helping me with my voices. They’re kinder now. Not always, but there’s a noticeable difference.

Thats really interesting, i thought it was impossible to get ketamine treatment if you had psychosis or just SZ.

I’m not in treatment. I took initiative. And it helps. A metric fck ton.

Uh, I wouldn’t dare such a thing. I would be scared of the risk of psychosis, the only drug I trust is opiates.

100 years ago opiates were the only cure for MI so I temporarily use it

(perhaps this post is flagged - but im not suggesting you should take opiates for MI, it’s very addictive and only work on short term, it’s definately no cure for MI)

I loathe opiates with a passion. I’ll never touch them again.

Good for you. It’s not for everyone. A lot of people get sick or stoned to death. I will only take ketamine in a controlled environment like if you are given Spravato by a psych nurse…
