Price of a sushi dinner

So I was on youtube a couple weeks back and this video called “100$ sushi feast” popped into my feed. I didn’t read the 100$ part at first, but I took a look at the comments, and one of the top ones was this girl saying that people in singapore have it easy, because they can get a whole sushi dinner for 100$, while in the US they can cost up to 180-200$.
I was baffled, because here in Portugal you can go to an all-you-can-eat buffet and eat all the sushi you want for just 8 euros (equivalent to around 11 dollars). I mean, who would spend 200 dollars on a single meal?!
Can anyone shed some light into this? Is it because the US doesn’t have fish as available as other countries surrounded by the sea?
What is the price of sushi where you’re from?

In the USA you can get good sushi from a Asian all you can eat buffet for around 12$. I have a friend who is currently stationed in Japan and he said that one plate full of sushi costs about 1$

The all-you-can-eat place by me is $25, and includes appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. Everything is made to order. I’m in the US, but in a coastal town.
