Pressure at work and home too

I often put undue Pressure on myself to get things done. I have to keep myself on schedule. I just end up getting all bent out of shape.

It starts feeling like people pushing and competing, but if I read the emails, they aren’t really pressuring me at all. I just think they do.

That sounds like some important insight to have.

Good luck.

I do the same. Not about getting things done but about the pressure. If I don’t relieve it in a safe sane manor it builds up and I start thinking that it’s the world that’s pressuring me so I start being a jerk to everybody in it.

It took me years to figure this out, it’s cool that you got it down.

Thanks but I don’t have it down. I may know it rationally but that doesn’t affect me feeling wigged out.

Now my husband is going to the ER. He’s been recovering from a hip operation and that is affecting me too. I hope he and our son can handle it because I cant.

Many of us put pressure on ourselves in different ways. I think that is particularly true of sz’s. Maybe you could get some reassurance from your friends. Try not to be compulsive about your schedule. Take some time off.

Thanks all I have no friends.
I have family but just can’t tell them anything. My doctor can’t solve problems. I have to get better at that alone.

**Hope your husband gets better–my son also had hip surgery.
Even if you don`t feel like it–just act like it until you feel it. Pressure is always out there floating around-so is stress. Think of it as money–you can buy it…or not. **
