Raft arrived today.

Inflated it and got in the water with it, but winds were too high to launch. Paddle was useless. Will try again tomorrow.

I think i try to steer clear of stuff that cant be proven or disproven. Im not sure if that has anything to do with it but it helps to have concrete things to ground myself to reality.

I tend to think Jackie Chan philosophy, closer to Taoism is the way to go.
Dissolution of the ego, to be whole of the subconsciousness. That sort of thing.

To know something is certain is born of information that is always uncertain.
Seems paradoxical to me.

I think people are too susceptible to manipulation or lies, to form certainty of information.
Even if we had the absolute knowledge we would be easily tricked into believing lies within a short time span.

Truth and ‘more certain to be objective information’ are social standards for information sharing, as it saves everyone in the collective a lot of time and wasted effort to have ‘closer to truthful’ information by a honest discourse, instead of a dishonest/subjective versions.

I would think that removing distractions and being able to confront the sources of information directly, or have the readiness to tackle adversity/changing circumstances, would lead you to observe the situation closely, and allow for coherent observations to occur with less barriers in the way to create a organic/clear understanding of something.

I think having too much information is a bad thing, and maturing would be understanding how to filter out and avoid unneeded information entirely.

To live gainfully, I think you would need to challenge the boundaries of your assumptions, the cast of your mind. You cannot do that by thinking over it, or by purely using information, but by taking action to test those boundaries/assumptions.

Pay attention to your own reaction to events and experiences, and the reactions of other people. Knowing what you do not like, and what you do like, can be half the battle to getting to where you want to be.

Trusting your gut instinct, means knowing your instinct, so if you want to trust yourself you need to know why you react in certain ways, and how to build/work around that. Some of that requires slow adaption, some of it can be with instantaneous moments of realization of how to move forward.

With schizophrenia I think it is best to learn how to lower stress/Flight-Fight, especially in reaction to information or events. Perhaps learn to use a zen-like mindset, and use each stressor as a opportunity to test it out.

And how to not to carry ideas/information in the mind. Which means quieting the mind, and that has been a Jedi-mind death struggle for me, and I tend to think it is neurological clash by nature, so mind health benefits like sleep can help with that.

I have learned how to do that, but have a hard time being focused enough to carry it out consistently. That is the hole we are all crawling out of bit by bit.

Not sure of the place, or time of year, but it looks like a nice setup to visit some marine mammals. Or to go fishing.
Happy voyages, enjoy your time on the water.
