Thats a good ratio for a butter. Animal or hydrogenated butter have much higher saturated fat %.

Yes, unfortunately I like to have butter in my oatmeal and on toast. I use it for grilled cheese sandwiches too.

I love my country but I’m wary of most forms of nationalism. It creates drama and it’s not good for the world. I also like America for example. I have a love affair with that country because I’ve lived there but it’s got a lot of problems. So I don’t see it a problem loving your country/culture/community as long as you don’t use it as a weapon against others if you get my drift.

I agree, depending on how you use the term, nationalism can be uncomfortably close to fascism.

I’ve found an Oldies radio station just outside Pine Bluff Arkansas USA. They played a guy singing America The Beautiful. It’s been years since I’ve had heard a patriotic song like that. They also called one of the politicians Uncle Joe (An old TV show “Petticoat Junction”). I really like listening to this station.

I don’t know what I’m going to do this 4th of July as I’m in a new apartment and can’t get the PBS station anymore to watch A Capitol Fourth. I’ve been thinking I haven’t heard the Star Spangled Banner lately. I remember when broadcast TV went off the air for the evening, and they would play the national anthem when they started broadcasting again in the morning. This was back in the Cold War days, 1960’s.

I’m Canadian. I’ve never been in the military. I am patriotic and love my country, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s perfect or that I am not critical of it sometimes.

Thanks @Headspark. I’m more patriotic now that I’m older. I didn’t used to be patriotic or love my country when I was young. I had planned on dodging the military draft for the Vietnam War when I turned 18 by fleeing to Canada, but they ended the draft before then. When I was 19 and older I thought about volunteering for the military when I needed a job. The Vietnam War was over then.

Patriotism, not arrogant, and insular jingoism. I want my country to be civilised, compassionate and cosmopolitan.

I am patriotic. Not nationalist. Parts and things I love about India. Others I hate.

I have not been in military. It is necessary thing in my opinion. But it needs to be insulated from political influence.

I love my country. All these old people watching fox news complaining do not realize that america is a goldmine still and has been for a long time. Do what you want. Relax live simple. Make it big. Do whatever. Its possible and achieveable. Alot of immigrants realize that which alot of americans dont seem to grasp. It has changed many things have dried up. Yes. But id rather be here than anywhere else.

I’m not American, but i voted anyway. I love my country but i’m not overly patriotic. I can see the faults of my country and things that need improving or changing. I always worry that when people become too patriotic, they fail to notice those things.
