Poll: Help with diagnosis

Throughout my life doctors have had a difficult time diagnosing me.
It’s always been a toss up between bipolar and schizoaffective.
I’m confused myself.

In your honest opinion knowing what you know about me from the forum.

Which disorder do you think I have?

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Schizoaffective disorder

There’s many options to consider, tho I dont know you so well. Here is a video explaining the disorders for docs exams, hope it helps.

I guess if you want to have the poll, it’s ok @Wave , but we really aren’t supposed to diagnose people here, and that’s basically what your asking us to do.

Edit: I would take whatever results you get with a grain of salt.

I with I could help @Wave but I really don’t know. I’m not a pdoc but I have delusions and hallucinations when I’m unmedicated. I also have depression which caused me to be diagnosed either schizoaffective depressive type or schizophrenia and depression… I constantly have to take an antidepressant and antipsychotic meds.

I don’t think unqualified people should have a say in what diagnosis someone else has (or even themselves really). But the fact is that if some doctor at some point thought its more serious than just bipolar on its own - then it probably is SZA (as SZA is mood disorder with some SZ symptoms)
