Poem: High Alert

“High Alert”

eyebrows furrowed
as i sit thinking,
always thinking, always
going over and over
in my mind the thoughts
that loom in the
darkness, sinister plots
and all sorts of
dismal possibilities,
the fruit of a mind
that never sleeps and
is a little too active
for its own good,
ever aware and on
high alert against the
doom surely to come

do you have a manuscript of all of these

you can publish on Kindle Store.

I have about ten on there.

I think your writing hits the edge of what many experience.

It’d be good to get it out there.

I have several notebooks of poems i have written but nothing i’ve organized. I may do that at some point. I used to have four or five binders with one hundred poems each but i got rid of them. Stupid me. I had a bad habit of destroying what i wrote. I did self-publish a book on Lulu one time but there’s only one copy in existence and a friend has that. I did that back when i posted on the old site. I appreciate your comment. :slightly_smiling_face:

it’s easy to do on Kindle, it’s all ebook

or you can do paperback for a cost though

it’s just gotta be in Word document

it’s fun, cuz you get to create your our cover for the book

I don’t have a Kindle reader, but always wanted one

you can make a little bit of money too, and doing it is free.

Sounds good. I might look into that in the future. Kindle…that’s Amazon, right?

yeah it is

I did two new books of my One Act Plays

I did that yesterday morning

as much as I love the paperback

seems like it’s easier to an E copy.

Yeah i’ve looked at their website before. It seems like a pretty good deal, doing it the e-book way. And these days i think more people use e-books than regular books anyway.

I sell almost all of my copies for $4.99

so my profit is $3.72 per sale.

I try to promote them all the time.

You can spend money advertising too, but I haven’t.

Sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the information. I’ll give it some thought. I’d really like to do something with all this stuff i’ve written.
