poverty not hard to find
if you know where to
look in a region, in many
ways, still reeling from
the brotherly rebuke of
a war fought amongst
the houses and fields of
the rich and poor alike,
a place where ignorance
still lurks behind the
occasional battle flag
and progress has been
made but is still slow in
coming, those of us born
native to the land just
trying to get along the
best that we can
