Plantar Faciitis

Ever had it? It’s very painful. After years of having no real physical pain I got it. I went from being able to walk and bike miles to being very limited in my physical mobility. Not having had any real pain other than a sprain I thought it was a broken foot, ect. So here was the treatment I got. Take this med until the pain gets to 20-30% of what is was before. Then stop taking the drug. Cool. Yeah really. Cool. It’s like being on a psychotropic you can get off of. Unfortunately it flares up the rest of your life, makes you relatively inactive, and cause your weight to spike to levels you can’t imagine. So If you don’t have it be happy.

yes, I’ve had it. Yes, it’s very painful. Mine was from a heel spur that was irritating the facia. I could barely walk sometimes. They put me on opioids for the pain and sent me to pt. It was awful. But eventually it all went away. I know it’s worse in the morning. I’m sorry you’re stuck with that.

I get it too. Thing that works is deep tissue massage. I use a hard cricket ball and roll my foot on it. Touch wood I haven’t had a flare up for a while and I’m pretty active. The pain is ridiculous and sometimes it’s hard to even walk.

I’m sorry you’re going through this right now. I have achillies tendonitis at the moment. Painful. Have you tried the boot for sleeping in?
