Has anyone been Loxapine while taking Perphenazine? I’m currently taking Perphenazine and still having breakthrough symptoms. Thank you in advance.

I take perphenazine, and I do well. Please note, perphenazine is not spectacular. That is, a med change may take eight weeks to be felt.

I currently take 24mg of Perphenazine as I am resistant to other antipsychotics. Perphenazine has been the medication I have had a marginal response to. My I ask if the Akathesia goes away in time? I currently take Gabapentin and Cogentin for this, but the Akathesia still comes through.

I take 24 mgs of perphenazine too, along with other meds. I got akathesia at first but it went away.

I don’t know about Akathesia.
About once every six weeks, I get four or five days of Restless Leg Syndrome when I lie down to sleep. Cogentine works great for that. Also, I am taking a huge assortment of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, happy bacteria). The nutritional support I get supposedly helps with the sideeffects of my several medications.
I do well.

I currently take 36 mgs.of Trilafon a day. When nothing would touch my psychosis, I took 64 mgs. of Perphenazine a day for about a year before anything happened. Then, it happened!
My internal organs are all great!

I used to take 48 mgs of perphenazine when I couldn’t get stable no matter what. I was in the hospital for awhile.
