Perception

Change your perception and fix your life. basically. With help from a therapist

most problems can be fix by it.

Paranoia? yes
insecurity? yes
Anxiety? yes
Depression? yes
psychosis? in the future, now only mild cases
PD? so-so, in the future 100%
Mania? probable

I can’t think of any other problems which need to be fixed.

Voices are not a problem, they become a problem because of symptoms.

How do I stop my OCD and anxiety by changing my perception?

I’d freaking LOVE to know.

Most szics need meds to not have sz symptoms.

I’m a believer

Tell me more

Go to therapy and put in the work required, i can go deeper and tell you how but i’m not sure if you’re asking rethorical or not

Well,

I’m kind of both.

I don’t believe that a change in my perception is going to stop an illness.

I am in therapy.

And I’d also genuinely like to know how you think I can cure this myself.

But skeptical.

meds are a must ! lots of people do shitty with them also, that’s not a reason to tell them to quit thou, so let’s keep that in mind.

You are basically taking about neuroplasticity?

Hmm. . .

Does One Take The Neurons To A Plastic City?.

Works for me.

There are things you cannot change, why does that mean you have to be miserable about them?

It does not.

I don’t think you can, and probably few people can without medication. in the future psychology will probably evolve more and make itself more useful.

Anxiety is easy to fix even now with CBT in most people.

OCD in a lot of people with CBT also.

I don’t know the actual procces my therapist used on me, i only see the principle in the change and how it affected me

I’ve done CBT with several therapists.

Sure, with more time and practice, it could get better.

I just don’t think you can just will the symptoms away though.

My perception changed after jail. Now I feel like a king anytime lunch is something better than two bologna sandwiches.

For example @GoldenRex .

i know he uses CBT and mindfulness and more techqnies. He’s a expert lol

Eg: thinking thought ‘a’ will result in feeling ‘af’ and behaivour ‘ab’
changing the process which creates the thought ‘a’ will change the thought, feeling and behaivour substitute them with thought ‘b’ and feeling ‘bf’, behaivour ‘bb’

Is the process which needs to be changed behind the thought which will result in a different perspective(perception)

if you combine it with mindfullness once you changed the process you can look at bouth thoughts ‘a’ and ‘b’ also.

in the end this creates two proccess with the same function. once you put in more work into either one it will strenghten it’s psysical connections between neurons creating new ways of thinking and changing the psysical brain

I’m tired of hearing this narrative… “I’m on this medication, and five others, and still I hate life, and find little joy. But let me tell you why you should do the same.”

I’m not here to convert a single one of you. Idgaf where you might be in your pattern, but I found what works for me better than anything else, and I’m not sold on the ideals of pharmaceuticals. They never worked for me. They’re not known to be cures. Why do you all act as if you’ve found one? We’re all winging this.

And I’m sure they have some amazing coping techniques too.

I am not saying go on meds, if you don’t need them, good for you.

I’m not on an anti psychotic and haven’t been for a while.

I believe a lot of what you say about coping with symptoms and not wallowing in misery.

I just don’t like the attitude you have about it.

These dont work with true psychosis sadly. If it works no one would have used meds as meds can make negative symptoms worse in some ppl.
