It’s interesting to me what people consider to be success stories. Don’t show me a story about a happily wed couple. Show me a widow or widower talking about how wonderful their 50 year old marriage was. Don’t show me some one who lost 100 pounds in a year. show me that person with the weight loss having lasted 20 years of more. Don’t show me a new father or mother. Show me a picture of that person having a son or daughter visiting them for Thanksgiving because they brought them up until they could survive on their own and didn’t abandon them during that time. And finally don’t show me an inner city youth with a college scholarship. Show then starting their new job after graduating. Don’t congratulate people for starting something. Do it when the job is done.
