Patterns of thought that make us unhappy

I regularly get emails from a group called, “Psych Central Newsletter.” It’s popular psychology, with short articles. Here’s one I got today:
“5 Unhealthy Behaviors That Rob You of Happiness” by John D. Moore, PhD.
The essential two for me were: Don’t do critical self-talk, and learn to express your needs to others.
I want to let that sink in for me. Furthermore, I agree with the basic idea of learning. I wish there were more wise people to point out our harmful inner thoughts. I think this is one essence of Cognitive Therapy.
