The more well patients think they have power over the less well. For instance the fire alarm went off and all the locked doors open automatically and one of the well patients takes it upon himself to guard the door and dictate to staff. He’s a patient too and doesn’t have any power over me.

Now that you mention it, I’ve set off the fire alarm a couple of times myself.
