OxyContin and Addiction

Sorry, my mouse has died, so I can’t copy and paste. My laptop doesn’t have buttons, so I don’t know (if I can) how to highlight stuff. This might require some tutoring from Pixel or my older brother.

Anyway, this is about the reason why people are getting addicted to OxyContin. It is because doctor’s in the 90’s said it worked for 12 hours. It doesn’t in everyone, so they had doctors prescribe higher doses which can be deadly.

Seems to me synthetic opioids are the new opium.

I had back pain and my doctor prescribed co-codamol which is codeine. The little lift it gave me is probably mild compared to Oxycontin but I can see how people get addicted to it.

I’m addicted to codeine which is a much lighter drug to oxycontin.

I can’t imagine what I’d be like if a doctor prescribed me a harder opiod.

Generally, humankind highly functions by incorporating thoughtfulness, diet and exercise, and in extenuating circumstances, pharmaceutical(s).
