I been feeling overfriendly and I felt so positive I know I’d get the job. So I got it 
but ffs I was so nice on the phone it did my head in.

Being nice to people that you’d much rather club like a baby seal takes a surprising amount of mental energy. A day on the phone at work leaves me exhausted and rattled. I’ll come home and crash into my chair for a nap before supper now.
I totally get where you’re coming from.
