How come when we all have ADULT conversations that are interesting, the Moderators shut us down like we are all 4 year old children.
It’s extremely insulting. We’re schizophrenic, not toddlers who need to be scolded and given time-outs.

Sometimes I feel like this too,
But sometimes I feel like people get too wrapped up in threads and need to be shut down.
That one was getting obnoxious.

I completely understood why it was shut down. In the context of this forum, it had absolutely no therapeutic value. The topic had nothing to do with schizophrenia. The posts were going back and forth and it had elements of politics and other topics that simply didn’t belong here. And some of it was not only offensive, but it was just arguing back and forth and simply contradicting the last post, which actually is against the rules of the forum.
The moderator’s are fine in my opinion. And unfortunately the insight I gained about certain older posts by a certain member don’t seem so much like light humor as an attempt to justify some pretty irresponsible ideas. There is a reason why some topics are discouraged, these arguments just cause unnecessary friction among the members.

While I don’t like excessive moderation, there didn’t seem to be any progress made in the thread in respect to the views that were expressed.
It seemed like it was going for a fairly long time too. At that point it seemed like it was just a distracting thread.
Not sure what else I was thinking… Just nothing really progressing in there.

This is a site full of sz. Most of us are insecure, scared, have self esteem problems etc. we want to help and support each other. Not judge or chastise. I love my friends here, and wouldn’t want them offended. I’m sure I offend some, but I don’t mean to intentionally. We deserve self respect and acceptance.
