What paradise would you want to live in if you had the money to just up and move. Would you move to a tropical country or live near cold mountains. I would want to live in the virgin islands.
If I didn’t have schizophrenia, I would love to live in the city and work in finance. But that dream will never happen.
Finance is a great field to be in, if you are a well educated normal person this is.
I would like to live on a tropical island for sure but one that also has a city.
I would own a huge villa overlooking the ocean, my own boat, my cat and partner by my side.
I would still work but make more money, I will wear swimming suits all year round and have a natural tan.
I mean, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica are really heavenly. There is something different about a tropical island.
I like where I live now pretty much.
With treatment-resistant sza, I don’t think I’ll ever find a paradise on earth as I always think I’m either being watched or they’re plotting to get me
If I had to pick a place, it’d be somewhere in Europe.
If I had a choice, it would be near a beach. I live in Los Angeles and lived with my ex one mile from the beach. I ran everyday with the sand and water to my side… it was great. I lost 30 pounds in the matter of a few months and lived a healthy lifestyle: no junk food, plenty of exercise, no cigarettes, fresh air right outside the door. Too bad she was a bit crazy (can’t have two nuts under one roof). It’s pricey to live ocean-side but will always aspire to live by the water.
I’d start with getting set up in Japan… people don’t even have to lock up their bikes over there. Respect is almost universally common.
I wouldn’t mind just being a quiet gaijin… there are places for foreigners to let off steam and find association with each other…
To be a gaijin it sounds like you have to do all you can to fit in flawlessly with the japanese people… but you can not ever show any signs of considering yourself japanese.
Beer in vending machines and a bunch of other perks… No guns… Shrines and neater mythologies all around… Drug use is ridiculously low. Lower than 5% if I recall right.
I read once that Japanese people who compliment non-japanese on their grasp of the language, are really just saying something akin to “Look, that horse can do math!” I always thought that was funny.
They also refer to schizophrenia as “integration disorder” which is a totally different approach as it highlights that the world is a more legitimate part of the conflict… it’s not 100% an internal issue in the sufferers.
Yeah no the japanese are totally proud of themselves… but in comparison to most of what the world is made of I think it’s deserved.
It’s about the only major nation that has religious freedom on a cultural level… we have religious freedom in our charter, but it isn’t respected by most people who hold monotheistic beliefs.
Buddhists have all the freedom in their own world to elect their own beliefs… and they can still communicate with out feeling strongly different because it’s all under the umbrella established by the various buddhas…
Oh I agree. THey’ve done well for themselves. Their culture has always fascinated me.
An asylum would be my paradise.
I would live on a yacht in the Maldives with my beautiful wife and I would have 6 children
I already live in paradise: Greece…
