Optimum amount of dopamine improves cognitive ability

I think with schizophrenia we have such irregular dopamine levels that we have hallucinations and delusions and any other symptoms. But once it’s stabilized we get tremendously better

I think it’s a problem if you have too much or too little dopamine.

I am met/met for the snp mentioned in the article above. Free of stress that indicates higher cognitive functioning . However under stress cognition is more negatively affected than if I was met/val or val/val.

I would guess that dopamine in the right amounts increases creativity, or “remote associations”, as I’ve heard it called. Einstein believed that creativity was more important than intelligence. I look at creativity as a form of intelligence that doesn’t get measured on the test scales.
