Older pdoc?

i dont know my pdoc’s age, i feel it would rude to ask, but from the looks of him, i would have to guess late 70’s early 80’s. i think i would be more comfortable with a younger pdoc, but it’s hard enough to get pdoc’s in my county. i wonder why he hasn’t retired already? why does he continue to work? does he have to stay current on modern physciatry? or is his education from years ago?

i have not yet met him face to face, it’s been all over the phone with covid. would you feel comfortable with an older pdoc?

I feel the same way TBH. Medicine is always being updated, and while Im sure they try and update their knowledge, they’re methods are going and general outlook are always going to be dated.

Yes, all Drs do yearly exams to update their medical knowledge.

One of my first psychiatrists was ancient.
He fell asleep during a session once.
