So i want to change medication as im gaining weight and i cannot think strait im also worrying that im going to get diabetes feel as though i may is it worth it changing when it works well for me? Im nor paranoid just depressed now but worry that im going to go paranoid.
I switched from olanzapine to latuda because of weight gain.
At first I had bad jaw clenching that felt unbearable but thankfully that went away and latuda has been good except bad insomnia .
Don’t have many other side effects.
I’ve been on latuda six years I think.
You have to take latuda with a certain amount of calories (300?) for it to work, and so you need to be organised especially if you take it twice a day.
You can just take it with a rtd shake of some kind and that will work fine
yes it definitely woth it. and you should take metformin as prevention treatment from getting diabetes. also consider drinking green coffee beverage it has anti diabetic effect.
I tried to make this switch, but latuda gave me chestpain. It’s probably not a common side effect though.
Latuda amplified my anxiety when I tried to sleep at night. Don’t know if it’s common.
People respond so differently to medications that you really just have to try it for yourself and hope that you are one of those who responds well to it.
Latuda is far from effective as olanzapine, i would have went to risperidone or abilify…
Latuda is close to ziprasidone as in you have to take it with a meal, it has a higher prespondency towards weight loss…
I liked my latuda but it causes me terrible restlessness. It was difficult for me but some people like it
Does it matter that you have to eat 350 kcal to make Latuda work. The grand.parent to Latuda geodon was much worse in this regard cause you.had to take.it twice a day witjh at least 500 Kcal each time.
