Oh, and by the way, you might die

I’m talking to the boss today about being on time and she drops a little tidbit as almost an afterthought that there have been a few reported cases of people getting diagnosed with Covid-19 in the building.

She couldn’t have mentioned it sooner? Was she planning on not telling us at all?

How long has she known? She should have reported it immediately

They should be doing contact tracing and notifying anyone who’s come in contact with someone with suspected or confirmed covid.

I would recommend that you ask your boss for more details. Since your janitorial job requires you to move around the building, it’s especially important that they let you know if you might have had contact with anyone with covid.

As far as she knows she might have covid-19.

That is pretty scary. Over here I don’t know anyone who has gotten the covid whereas you peeps have had it on these boards. Crazy times but hope you don’t get it matey.

The contract tracing in my province started crashing last week – the system is overwhelmed. I’m just assuming everyone is infectious and hiding in my hole.

That sounds like a highly illegal bit of lack of informing you

I wish you’ll be okay. Covid 19 is a serious illness and you should have been informed if there have been any coronavirus cases in the building. In my little town we have had five coronavirus infections. I am not wearing a mask because this situation is quite good. Many people wear their masks.

A lot of people are trying to keep stuff like that secret but it’s difficult to hide 2-week vacations at work because nobody got them in the US for a long time before COVID-19.

That is inconsiderate at best, negligent is someone gets Covid 19 and dies.
