I don’t really talk about my delusions because honestly part of me still thinks they’re real…
It’s kinda f*cked up…
I haven’t even gone into full detail of my delusions with my prescriber or therapist.
I hate this disease.

Well, you are certainly free to not share your delusions here. It’s probably not a good idea to hide your delusions from your pdoc though. They may want to change your care based on whatever is going on with you. Just my opinion.
I have had pocd and it will get better. Alot of meditation and internal healing. Do you have YouTube?
That’s true…
Idk, I just feel like they’re always gonna be in the back of my head no matter what.
Maybe I’ll just tell them “part of me still thinks my delusions are real” and just avoid going into detail about what they are… if they’ll let me not go into detail that is.
Meditation just makes my voices pop up…
And I honestly dislike YouTube… the only thing I use it for is music
I don’t talk about my delusions to people unless they’re close friends or my pdoc.
What does pdoc mean exactly?
It refers to a psychiatrist
It’s just our abbreviation for psychiatrist here
That’s unfortunate. I do not think I would trust my family doctor in charge of my psychiatric care if I still had delusions. They just aren’t specialized in the field.
Yeah exactly… I just have a prescriber- who prescribes me my meds and a therapist.
You could probably get a referral to see a psychiatrist from your doctor if you wanted. Especially if you let them know you are still having delusions. IDK. That’s a decision for you to make though.
or do you not have a doctor at all? I don’t know what you mean by “prescriber” and what their credentials are.
I honestly don’t know what “prescriber” means either… lol that’s just what they call them at the local community mental health place.
Well I think there are various people depending where you live who can prescribe …like nurse practitioners and the like. Maybe they could give you a referral…IDK. Generally you think of a Doctor giving a psychiatrist referral.
Ah okay… thanks for the ideas anyways!
I personally have a family doctor for my physical stuff and and psychiatrist for my mental issues. And your welcome…
not trying to push a psychiatrist on you or anything.
