Not feeling so stable and switching Meds

I have not been feeling well for a while now.

I upped my dose of Risperdal and started Cycling really bad, so I am through with taking Risperdal, it no longer is helping me.

My paranoia is preventing me from sleeping at night.

When I see my pdoc next week, I am going to ask her about going on either Rexulti or Vraylar - she seems to like Vraylar for me so we shall see.

I am tired of being so unstable - it’s time for a med change.

I am nervous about switching APs but I think that it’s about time.

Good luck @Wave

I am sorry to read you haven’t been well. I hope this lifts for you soon and the transition to a new med isn’t too rocky.

I’m in a similar situation. I’m on Risperdal and have been thinking about switching because of my lack of a libido, however I have been too afraid of either the new med not working or the new med having worse side effects, so I haven’t been able to bring myself to change it yet.

I’m the same way, I have very little libido on Risperdal.

Good luck! Changing meds is terrifying, but hopefully it will only be bad for couple months.

Do they monitor your med change with more frequent medical appointments?

Make sure they don’t have any holidays planned for a while.
