Is this a possibility?? Autism can have symptoms that seem similar to delusions at first glance
No, there’s not a possibility.
Autism doesn’t make you think your family is trying to kill you. That’s delusional. Nor does it make you think doctors are poisoning you. That’s delusional.
It’s hard to accept when you’re ill. But the brain is an organ like others in your body and can get sick just like them.
My brain was fine in the MRI though
Not even the differences that people with dyspraxia have
Why not? Not trying to argue just curious why do you think so
Get over it, you have psychosis. The world including Drs told you you have psychosis, the problem is likely you not accepting reality. Its part of your illness not accepting your psychosis, I went to court against my psychiatrist for it, he won.
I accept reality but the only thing I’ve had is thoughts that other call psychotic
This means you’re still refusing that you have psychosis. Believe your Drs. Its for your own good.
My Daughter is Autistic - and yes you gotta do things a certain way with her - or she gets panicked. Routine is key with her. But never has she shown symptoms of being delusional. And trust me i keep a close eye - considering me, her dad is Sz.
You got psychosis mate - and you need meds for it.
But the shot makes me stupid
I dont know anyone else that thinks Abilify makes them stupid. It sounds more like you’re just thinking that. Abilify has the best profile for giv8ng energy and a clearer head
It gives energy yes but it dulls your intelligence
I used to think that denying my psychosis will improve me psychologically. I was wrong as it was a disaster.
My problem was kinda different. People were denying the psychosis but I was accepting it.
Your Dr denied your psychosis?
Not the doctor but family and friends.
@Crystal-Cotton The sooner you accept you got a mental illness, instead of all this back and forth in your posts - the sooner you can begin recovery.
Find a med that suits you and stick to it - and your outcome will be better in the long term.
Same here but I was also denying psychosis thinking its a psychological disease/infection. I was wrong.
When i first got psychosis I had an mri as well … all normal looking… but I think they do that to check for any tumours possibly… i also did not have all symptoms of psychosis… no hallucinations
@Crystal-Cotton It is not easy to do but the sooner that you accept the better off you are and can lead a normal life as possible under the circumstances.
