I think thereās a difference between normies with passing thoughts and what people with sz experience.
Still its in the same spectrum, the severity is absolutely different.
We arenāt that much different than normies, weāre just more extreme.
i think schizophrenia like any mental illness is just a exaggeration of what everyone hasā¦everyone has some anxiety but someone with gad has it more intense and frequent. everyone has a little bit of paranoia and delusional thinking but with schizophrenia its more intense and enduring and interfering with your life
What does normies mean? Iāve heard it used before in memes
People who are perceived to be more ānormalā than us
Oh, that makes sense. I donāt why, but Iād always assumed it was deragotory
dude, Iāve got 40% disability from my illness, that should mean something to you.
The title is a bit misleading and might be upsetting, but thatās not the point.
Iāve intended to show that some people have a slight manifestation of some symptoms of sz, nothing more.
@anon76219695 if you write that normal people have SZ symptoms it belittles my,
and possibly your, disease.
It belittles everyone who has profound problems with their schizophrenia.
You should word yourself carefully, and say that some normies have slight manifestations
of symptoms of schizophrenia.
It is also a big matter of debate whether schizophrenics who manage to live independently and do demanding
jobs and manage their own finances are indeed ill with schizophrenia.
There is a dangerous dilution in the term schizophrenia where people who function very well,
and are indeed rather healthy, are called schizophrenics.
Dude. Calm down. No need to be so insulting. We get it you think you have the most severe case of sz to have ever existed, but itās a simple question/statement. People are allowed to experience different degrees of things.
I am sorry Iāve made you feel uncomfortable with this post Erez.
Despite that Iāll point out that being sz isnāt a privilege nor an excuse, itās an illness. Additionally, it can be diagnosed only by psychiatrists.
I have a feeling that you donāt believe that I have a sz.
but my pdocs diagnosed me with it, so if you want to argue about it, argue with them.
Iām a paranoid, without pills totally insane, gone out with a knife to fight imaginary friends once⦠and boy negatives hit me hard too. canāt really do much, so I manage my energy efficiently using whatever I can to get the best out of myself. I fight as hard as I can each day, getting stressed to do trivial stuff and even more stressed to accomplish things that matter. I have sacrificed a lot to get where I am and I continue to sacrifice things to keep on moving, whether its my health or well being. and all of it makes me stronger. thatās probably why I manage to function like that. hard work and an ability to withstand considerable pain. Not because I was āalrightā all this time.
